Slack

Start a session from Slack.

React to a message with your trigger emoji, mention Talyn, or send it a direct message, and a session starts with the Slack thread as its brief. Talyn shows progress as reactions and never posts in your channels.

  • Start from a reaction, a mention or a direct message
  • Talyn finds the repository, or asks you when it cannot tell
  • Progress shows as reactions on the message that started it
  • Talyn never posts in your channels

Sessions started from Slack use box-hours like any other session.

Start where the work is reported

A bug report lands in a channel. React to it with your trigger emoji, mention Talyn, or send Talyn the message, and a session starts with that Slack thread as its brief.

Pick any emoji as your trigger, including your workspace's custom ones.

It finds the repository

Talyn picks the repository from a link or a name in the message, then from what this channel's sessions used before. If no repository is a clear winner, it does not guess. It asks you in the app.

Quiet in Slack

Talyn never posts in your channels. It shows a session's progress as reactions on the message that started it, and the session links back to the Slack thread.

Slack text is treated as untrusted

Anyone in a channel can write a message. Talyn keeps your own instruction apart from the quoted Slack text, and tells the agent that the quoted part is untrusted.

Questions, answered.

No. It adds reactions to the message that started a session, and nothing else.

A person who has linked their Slack account to Talyn. The session starts in that person's Talyn workspace, on their own plan.

Install the Talyn app in your Slack workspace from Settings in Talyn, link your Slack account, and choose your trigger emoji.

Talyn does this for you.
